About Local Democracy Dashboard

Welcome to the Local Democracy Dashboard. We are a project established by the Democratic Audit, based in the London School of Economics. Our aim is to promote engagement in the electoral process by making an array of information on elections and constituencies more accessible than previously. The UK has the lowest rate of electoral participation by young people in the OECD, and we hope to play a part in using the digital environment to spread engagement.

The Local Democracy Dashboard is designed to become a one stop shop for information about local politics in your area.

The Local Democracy Dashboard is run by Professor Patrick Dunleavy, Joshua Townsley, and James F Downes, with help from publicly-available data from the Electoral Commission, Andrew Teale, and Britain Elects.
